Myrtle Beach Fun Facts
The runway at Myrtle Beach International Airport is 9503 feet long and is the 2nd busiest airport in the state.
There is a time capsule buried at Kings Highway and 9th Avenue North that is to be opened on December 18th, 2054, it was buried in 2004.
The country music group Alabama played for tips as the house band at The Bowery, downtown Myrtle Beach the summer of 1973.
Kings Highway was an indian trail long before european settlers arrived in the new world. As the colonies grew that indian trail became the main route between northern states and southern cities.
At one time, giant sand dunes came all the way up to where present-day Kings Highway passes.
Arrived at Myrtle Beach, still unsure of the path of hurricane Maria, but right now its beach weather.
Wouldn't know a hurricane is 350 miles straight out in the Atlantic
Really enjoyed the transportation to the beach, less than 10 minutes we were there, and no sand in your vehicle, just in your shoes!
Barefoot Landing was next door, walked over almost every night. A good place to get in our 10,000 steps.
And share ice cream.
And a little playing around too
Saw these two big kitty's, they are only 18 months old and huge. There to raise money for a tiger preserve in the area.
Even saw a wedding on the beach one afternoon

I guess this is what Amazon does to the Mall, like Walmart did to the mom and pop retailers. 80% of the mall was empty and only 1 food vender left in the food court. Scary
Sad to leave Myrtle Beach, guess we are ocean people at heart.
Looks great Barbara and Frank wish we were there but have a good time and get some sand and save it for the future
