We are in in sunny, windy Wauchula.
In our travels we found that Wauchula had been called "Cucumber Capital of the World". Citrus now has become a more important agricultural crop over the past few decades.
Also, Wauchula is derived from the Seminole name of Wauchula meaning "Call of the Sandhill Crain. This is a fountain in the center of town.

This little fella was running around the porch digging nuts out of the planters. They are so tame, the darn thing ran right up to us.
