Acadia National Park, Maine

We had a great day being a tourist visiting the park and Bar Harbor.

  • Arcadia is the first National Park on the Eastern Coast established in 1919 by  President  Wilson.
  • John D. Rockefeller Jr.  donated all the land to become a national park.
  • Arcadia is made up of  4739 acres of land .

On the way to Cadillac Mountain.
One of the first places to see the sunrise in the United States

View from the top of Cadillac Mt , tallest mountain on the US Atlantic Coast

On the trail to Sand Beach

Sand  Beach
Thunder Hole , it creates the sound of thunder when the waves roll in and shoots air and water through the cavern.   Best seen at high tide.
